Since 2021, we have worked to advance First Nations prosperity by supporting initiatives rooted in Indigenous leadership and community priorities. Our first major project – a partnership with the University of Manitoba – helped establish a Professorship of Indigenous Law and Economic Reconciliation. This early success demonstrated the power of aligning philanthropic capital with First Nations values and long-term community impact.
As the needs and opportunities facing First Nations communities continue to grow, so too must the platform that supports them. To meet this moment, we are evolving into the First Nations Community Foundation—a national philanthropic institution designed to mobilize capital, empower donors, and strengthen First Nations Life across Canada.
